Installation

This section will guide you through the process of installing the ServerGuardian extension on your Plesk server. Prerequisites

Before installing ServerGuardian, ensure that your server meets the following requirements:

  • Plesk Version: Latest version of Plesk Obsidian
  • Operating System: Linux (the extension might work on Windows, but it has only been tested on Linux)
  • Nginx: Ensure Nginx is installed and configured on your Plesk server
  • Permissions: You must have administrator access to Plesk and server configuration files

Installation Steps

You can install the ServerGuardian extension using one of the following methods:

Method 1: Download from Plesk's Marketplace

  • Log into Plesk: Access your Plesk control panel using an administrator account.

  • Navigate to Extensions: In the Plesk control panel, go to the Extensions menu.

  • Find ServerGuardian: Click on Extensions Catalog. Use the search bar to find ServerGuardian.

  • Install the Extension: Click on ServerGuardian in the search results. Click on the Install button and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation.

Method 2: Upload the Extension Manually

  • Download the Extension: Obtain the ServerGuardian extension package from the official source or your account dashboard.

  • Log into Plesk: Access your Plesk control panel using an administrator account.

  • Navigate to Extensions: In the Plesk control panel, go to the Extensions menu.

  • Upload the Extension: Click on My Extensions. Click on Upload Extension and browse to the location where you downloaded the ServerGuardian extension package. Select the package and click OK to upload and install it.

Verifying the Installation

To ensure that ServerGuardian is installed and configured correctly, follow these steps:

  • Access ServerGuardian Dashboard: In Plesk, navigate to the ServerGuardian extension from the Extensions menu.

  • Initial Setup: Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the initial configuration. Ensure that the extension can communicate with the server and has the necessary permissions to update Nginx configurations.

  • Check Nginx Configuration: Verify that ServerGuardian has successfully added the necessary commands to your Nginx configuration. You can do this by reviewing the Nginx configuration files for any new entries added by ServerGuardian.
